Our fair trade Nepali wrapping paper is made from the  Nepalese lokta  tree which grows in the Himalayas at altitudes of 2,000m and above. Each bush is harvested every 2 years by cutting it a foot above the ground, keeping the bush alive and sustaining the local ecological balance. The paper is made by Craft with Conscience, a certified Fair Trade organisation that trains and supports economically deprived artisans and groups across Nepal.
